I’ve been doing my due diligence on this item.  I hate cleaning and I’m all about anything to make those annoying dirty jobs easier.

How it works

Each satellite provider has several satellites in geosynchronous orbit. Geosynchronous means that the satellite orbit is in sync with the rate that earth is rotating. So the satellite stays in the same place relative to the earth’s position. This is why you only have to direct the position of your dish one time to align with the satellite signal. The dish is actually a small antenna and receives a broadcast signal from the satellite. That signal is then fed through a coaxial cable directly to the satellite receiver. All satellite signals are digitally broadcasted. The receiver decodes that digital signal to a video/audio output for your television.

Installation and maintenance of your satellite dish

Installing a satellite is not a difficult process. A coaxial cable connects the dish to the receiver. The dish must be aligned properly and once everything is plugged in you will receive your satellite broadcast. Maintenance of your satellite dish consists of periodically inspecting the wiring for any damage and occasionally removing any grime or dirt that may have built up on the dish. If you position you dish in a grassy area from time to time cut down any shrubbery that may hinder your signal reception.
